Healthy Interactions and Florida Hospital Announce Partnership

Chicago, IL

Today Healthy Interactions announced its partnership with Florida Hospital, a member of Adventist Health System, to implement its integrated diabetes programs around DSME/S, which will also include digital support through the Healthy Interactions’ digital engagement platform (DEP). Healthy Interactions’ collaboration with Florida Hospital will use the Conversation Map® methodology and tools, which allow patients to have effective, meaningful conversations about their health and, ultimately, change their behaviors.

Paul Lasiuk, CEO of Healthy Interactions, states, "Our team has been working closely with Florida Hospital to integrate its diabetes care education curriculum. Healthy Interactions’ Conversation Map tools offer a unique methodology that encourages patients to change their lifestyles. Our relationship with Florida Hospital means that leading healthcare providers will now have access to internationally recognized tools to help patients with chronic diseases.”

The partnership includes Healthy Interactions’ DEP. The DEP connects patients to the Florida Hospital care team members for the purpose of sharing health information, goals, educational resources, care management, and coaching. The DEP is one of the only care management platforms that has achieved HITRUST CSF Certified status, ensuring that patient health information stays protected

“Florida Hospital remains committed to the utilization of innovative approaches to patient engagement, especially as they pertain to empowerment around diabetes self-management”, said Damon Tanton, MD, Endocrinologist and Medical Director for the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute. “As such, we are excited to partner with Healthy Interactions, as its platform allows for a fresh and effective education option. We believe that our patients will truly be empowered by this Conversation Map methodology.”

After being trained on the Conversation Map methodology and the DEP by the Healthy Interactions team, the diabetes educators at Florida Hospital began patient sessions on August 7th. The teams will continue to work together throughout the launch of the program to ensure that the best possible experience is achieved for patients.
